Fraud Prevention Notice:
Please carefully read this entire notice. If you have questions that are not addressed in this notice, contact us at Support@TrustBuild.com.
You must have the Member ID from the seller to verify he or she is a TrustBuild Sealholder. If the Member ID search results show “There were no matching records found,” then the Member ID is not valid and/or the individual is not a Sealholder. Our database is updated real-time and is accurate. If the results say the individual you are verifying is not a Sealholder, please ask him/her to contact TrustBuild directly to resolve. Unfortunately, we cannot honor requests to verify Sealholders other than through this online search tool.
Just because an individual uses our logo and/or name, which can be illegally copied from any website, does not mean the individual is a valid Sealholder. TrustBuild does not offer any type of third party protection plan or “security deposit” for online transactions. Please make sure the “Sealholder” is using the actual TrustBuild Seal (not just the logo) which should have the Member ID clearly noted at the bottom of the seal. If the Member ID is valid, please make sure the profile that appears from the search matches the contact information you already have received from the individual. Finally, we encourage you to always obtain a valid phone number from the other party – don’t just rely on email addresses which are very easy to acquire for fraudulent uses.
If you are involved in a potential transaction with an individual using our logo or trust seal and/or purporting to be a TrustBuild Sealholder when they are not, please forward any relevant information (contact information, email correspondence, etc.) to info@TrustBuild.com. We strongly encourage you to report these occurrences to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center which is a partnership between the FBI and National White Collar Crime Center to address fraud committed over the Internet. The web site for the IFCC is http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp.
Do not send money to someone you don't know via Western Union, Moneygram or Wire Transfer.
